NPTEL(National Programme on Technology Enhanced Learning) a joint innitiative taken by
all IITs and IISc Bangalore to help empower higher education in India.To make successful to
this projects Professors of all seven IITs(currently number are increased) and IISc made a great
contribution and worked hard.The mission of this joint venture is not only to empower teaching skills and learning skills in Computer Science & Engg. but also to all other stream such as Electronics & Communication,Mechanical Engineering,Electrical Engineering,Civil Engineering as well.
These video lectures are really great and useful for those student who lacks quality of good lectures
form 2nd tier and 3rd tier engineering colleges in India.
Here I am only emphasizing video lectures that are available for computer Science .Well truley
speaking these video lectures are really great for Indian students as well as students from other
country. There are near about 635 video lectures available for Computer Science currently, which has been
hosted on Youtube (which is worlds largest video hosting website now acquired by Google).
that can be watch any time anywhere in world for absolutely free of costs ,but yes if one want to
order these videos to their home they have to pay per lecture or pay per course because this is not really
easy task to download youtube video .(because think here a little facts and figure about Youtube millions of viewer wachting and downloading video every hour, what will be result a great amout of hosting as well as downloading charges ,consequences will be high amount of operation cost. However there are some
way to download it but I am not sure they are very successful)
There is also facility for Engineering college as well as related University to access and order these
video for there their own campus and students at nominal costs.
